The YAESU FTA-850L is a premium portable airband transceiver designed for aviators who demand the highest level of communication and navigation capabilities. Featuring a 2.4″ full-color TFT display (240 x 320 pixels), the FTA-850L provides dual-frequency visibility and intuitive menu navigation for quick access to all functions.
Navigation features include ILS (localizer and glide slope), VOR, and integrated WAAS GPS with 66 channels, plus waypoint navigation—ensuring pilots can monitor and navigate accurately across all flight phases. The transceiver also supports 8.33 kHz narrow band spacing, NOAA weather channel reception, and weather alerts for complete situational awareness.
The FTA-850L includes 400 programmable memory channels, each with 14-character alphanumeric tags, allowing pilots to store and recall favorite frequencies easily. Bluetooth connectivity enables wireless operation with compatible headsets or Yaesu’s optional SSM-BT10 headset, adding convenience and freedom of movement in the cockpit.
